On December 1st, Dr. Phillips and his daughter, Meg, took a cooking class on how to make challah bread at The Asheville Kitchen on Merrimon Avenue. They learned how to make challah bread from scratch and then had a chance to enjoy the bread by making stuffed french toast. Dr. Phillips’ custom is to make French toast every Christmas morning for his family–this year he will be the adding surprise of making the bread from scratch and introducing the delicious stuffed French Toast to his children and grandchildren. “I can tell you the stuffed french toast was AWESOME!” said Dr. Phillips.
