Dr. Douglas B. Phillips attended the American Dental Association Conference in Chicago on August 24-25, 2018.

The conference was called the “2018 Children’s Airway Health — A Practical Conference”, and it was a sold out event with approximately 250 dentists attending from all over the United States. World class physician sleep specialists and dentists discussed the significant prevalence of sleep disordered breathing in approximately 12 % of the pediatric population and what options are available to screen, diagnose, and treat children with those problems. Dr. Phillips intends to come back to Asheville and share the information with the professional health provider community and patients to address this serious health issue that can lead to serious health problems as an adult if left untreated.
